For Elementary and Middle School

Immersion camps are designed to help your children grow in their unique interests. Most camps are 5 days long either for the morning, afternoon, or all day. Camps are available for a variety of ages, and our Immersion Camps are geared towards elementary and middle school students. Each camp is led by experienced and qualified leaders who are part of our school community.

Basketball Ring

CCS Eagles Boys' Basketball Camp

June 12 - 16

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Ages 10 - 14

Basketball players will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level. Campers will be grouped by age and ability to provide a challenging environment for each player. This camp is designed to provide a fun environment where everyone can improve their basketball skills. Students will receive a camp t-shirt and a mini basketball. The camp coach will be Mr. Kevin Roussey, the CCS athletic director.

Young Ballet Class

Moove & Groove Ballet Camp (Younger Students)

June 12 - 16

Ages 6 - 9

Ballet training is essential to the fundamentals of all dance forms. This class will emphasize proper body placement, alignment, grace, posture, poise and fluidity of movement. This class includes Ballet Barre and Center work. Additionally, dancers will learn the French terminology that forms the basic universal language of dance. No experience necessary, but can accommodate any level of experience. 

 

Our ballet camp instructor, Sarah Simons,  holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance from Oral Roberts University. She is well-skilled in various styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, ballroom, and lyrical. She is experienced in teaching all age groups throughout her many years of instructing.

Camera

A New View Photography Camp

June 12 - 16 

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Ages 11 - 14

Campers will experience several field trips (including an all-day excursion to Valley Forge Park and other shorter trips to closer localities such as Hickory Park and downtown Pottstown) in order to learn to shoot at different scenes (nature, architecture, wildlife, and people) and under lighting and environmental conditions. Campers will experiment with other art forms as well by using their photography as a basis for other art projects including watercolor/acrylic painting and drawing. The week will culminate by campers selecting favorite photos and creating a hard-bound, fully-colorized photo book portfolio showcasing their masterpieces from the week.

Female at Pottery Workshop

In the Potter's Hands Pottery Camp

June 19 - 23

Ages 8 - 14

Budding sculptors will learn basic and intermediate hand building pottery skills (including clay work, glazing, and firing!). They will use a variety of clay tools in order to hand build personalized pinch pots or coil pots. Campers will witness various demonstrations by the teacher and participate in gallery walks, giving positive feedback and observing their peers’ work. Campers will have several finished projects that can be both decorative and functional by week's end.

Net Force - Volleyball Camp

June 26 - 30

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Ages 10 - 14

Volleyball players will work on passing, setting, serving, and hitting and have the opportunity to learn from current and former coaches and develop individual skills and teamwork. They will hone team defense and offense abilities. Campers will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level.  All campers will receive a Tachikara volleyball as part of their camp experience.

Lego Challenge!

June 26 - 30

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Ages 7 - 11

Lego-lovers will utilize and experiment with Wedo 2.0 Lego robotics kits. Campers will also participate in speed design and theme-based challenges. They will experience story-telling builds and play Lego-related games such as Lego Trivia and Lego Jeopardy! All campers will receive a Lego master tee-shirt, lego figure, gold brick, and lego kit to take home.

Basketball Practice

July 11 - 12 (2 days)

Ages 10 - 14

Basketball players will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level. Campers will be grouped by age and ability to provide a challenging environment for each player. They will experience daily 5-on-5 game play to improve court awareness, game flow, and vision. Students will receive a camp t-shirt. The camp coach will be Mr. Mike Cianci.

Let's Code!

July 10 - 14

Ages 9 - 14

Robot creators will learn all about robotics and coding through a series of detailed activities. Campers will design a fully-functional, programmable robot Campers will participate in robotics and programming challenges to hone their creativity, efficiency, and functionality of their coding skills. Campers will also receive a coding kit or book to keep. No prior experience is necessary!

Theater Lights

Budding thespians will hone their public speaking skills and experience the world of dance and choreography. Campers will practice group singing and receive vocal instruction and will go through the entire acting experience from learning lines to performing on opening night! Actors will receive a performance t-shirt

Make Your Cake...And Eat it Too!

July 31 - August 4

Budding cake decorators will learn to decorate cakes with roses, filigree and borders. No experience is necessary, all levels are welcomed. Campers will bring home their creations as well as a cake decorating kit to keep

Sarah Simons, our instructor, has owned her own business decorating cakes since she was a teenager. She is Wilton cake-certified and has worked for Costco wholesale for many years.

Can You Hack It?
Outdoor Survival Camp

August 7 - 11

8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Ages 10 - 14

Can You Hack It? Outdoor adventurers will go on full day field trips to a ropes course and Camelback Adventure Park. They will also experience indoor rock climbing and backpacking on the Appalachian Trail. Campers will learn additional survival skills including building a fire, cooking their own food, pitching a tent, purifying water, reading maps, and tying knots. Campers will create and take home a fully functional, professional survival kit that they can use on their next outdoor adventure. Our camp instructor is an avid outdoorsman and Eagle scout.

Culinary Design Adventure

August 14 - 18

Ages 9 - 14

Budding chefs will llearn all about nutrition, food science, spicing agents, kitchen safety, knife skills, plating, and more! Chefs will prepare one to two types of food daily (including desserts, meats, veggies, omelets, mystery box challenges, and more). Campers will gain hands-on experience with all types of kitchen appliances and gadgets. They will budget, purchase, and prepare an entire meal in our mystery judge team competition. Campers will also experience a field trip excursion to a local grocery store to purchase ingredients for the competition. All campers will receive a personalized embroidered apron as well as a notebook filled with culinary information.

Wildlife Week

Ages 9 - 14

Campers will learn about and deeply explore God's creation. Enjoy getting dirty, muddy, and wet while experiencing a different nature-study theme each day. Explore meadows, take flight with bird of the air exploration, study the creek with Water Walk Wednesday, and spend time in the thickets for a woodland study. The week will culminate with a zoo field trip on Friday for Furry Animal Friday.

-Cancel 15-30 days before the start of camp--receive a 50% refund

-Cancel 0-14 days prior to camp--no refund can be given
