For Elementary and Middle School

Immersion camps are designed to help your children grow in their unique interests. Most camps are 5 days long either for the morning, afternoon, or all day. Camps are available for a variety of ages, and our Immersion Camps are geared towards elementary and middle school students. Each camp is led by experienced and qualified leaders who are part of our school community.

Theater Lights

The Thespian's Stage Performing Arts Camp

Students must also be available Friday evening and Saturday morning to perform

Ages 10 - 14

Budding thespians will hone their public speaking skills and experience the world of dance and choreography. Campers will practice group singing and receive vocal instruction as well. Campers will go through the entire acting experience from learning lines to performing on opening night!

Basketball Ring

Breakthrough Basketball

Ages 11 - 14

Basketball players will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level. Campers will be grouped by age and ability to provide a challenging environment for each player. They will experience daily 5-on-5 game play to improve court awareness, game flow, and vision. Students will receive a camp t-shirt, water bottle and towel.

Painting Pottery

In the Potter's Hands Pottery Camp

June 27 - July 1

Ages 10 - 14

Budding sculptors will learn basic and intermediate hand building pottery skills (including clay work, glazing, and firing!). They will use a variety of clay tools in order to hand build personalized pinch pots or coil pots. Campers will witness various demonstrations by the teacher and participate in gallery walks, giving positive feedback and observing their peers’ work. Campers will have a finished project that can be both functional or just for display by week's end.

Let's Code!

Ages 9 - 14

Robot creators will learn all about robotics and coding through a series of detailed activities. Campers will build a Lego Mindstorms robot and use an online coding program to make the robot talk, move and more! Each day, campers experience a daily Programming Challenge that hones the creativity, efficiency, and functionality of their coding skills. Campers will also receive a coding kit to keep. No prior experience is necessary!

Stack those Stocks - Stock Market Camp

July 11 - 15

Ages 14 - 18

Budding investors will learn the ins and outs of the stock market. They will experience basic accounting concepts that drive the value of companies and stocks, and they will also participate in a state-of-the-art stock picking simulation. Campers will also utilize stock software (Morningstar, Stock Rover, Seeking Alpha, etc) to learn about the analytics behind stock selection.

Sports lovers will learn a new sport each day including lacrosse, soccer, hockey, 9 square, kickball, ultimate frisbee, and more! Campers will gain confidence and build their teamwork skills. All campers will receive a camp tee-shirt.

The Art of Growing Up:
Middle School Navigation, Entrepreneurship, and Adulting

July 5 - 8

Ages 10 - 14

Our Middle Schoolers will be taught the executive functioning skills needed to succeed in Middle School such as note taking skills, how to read a schedule, the use of a planner, how to manage homework time, and more! Campers will create an at-home study station and will receive a self-selected planner and at-home study station materials. Campers will also learn the ins and outs of entrepreneurship such as how to start a business, how to market yourself, how to manage your money, and more. Campers will write their very own business plan. They will practice and apply other skills of adulthood (how to manage a home, keep a budget, plan a weekly menu, etc). Campers will also learn childcare skills that can be put to use in babysitting situations. Finally, campers will experience a real-world simulation game that puts them in the driver's seat of a household!

Lego Challenge!

July 18 - 22

Ages 8 - 11

Lego-lovers will utilize and experiment with Wedo 2.0 Lego robotics kits. Campers will also participate in speed design and theme-based challenges. They will experience story-telling builds and play Lego-related games such as Lego Trivia and Lego Jeopardy! All campers will receive a Lego master tee-shirt, lego figure, gold brick, and lego kit to take home.

Net Force - Volleyball Camp

July 25 - 29

Ages 11 - 14

Volleyball players will work on passing, setting, serving, and hitting and have the opportunity to learn from current and former coaches and develop individual skills and teamwork. They will hone team defense and offense abilities. Campers will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level.  All campers will receive a Tachikara volleyball as part of their camp experience.

Accessories

A Crafting We Will Go

August 1 - 5

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Ages 10 - 14

Crafters will learn basic and advanced knitting and crocheting skills (students will be split into beginner and advanced levels for these crafting skills, so ALL levels of crafters are welcome and will be challenged). Campers will also learn the arts of hand-stitching, needle felting, and hand lettering (calligraphy). They will also experience a variety of paper crafts including quilling and scrapbooking.

Campers will then put these newfound skills to use making a myriad of projects with many opportunities for customization and creativity. Campers will also visit the school's "Tinkerspace" to get their creative juices flowing and craft a unique item.

Soccer

Ages 11 - 14

Soccer players will have the opportunity to prepare and get in shape for pre-season soccer. They will refine all fundamental and technical skills while getting plenty of touches on the ball. Campers will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level, and they will be grouped by age and ability so that they are properly challenged. All campers will receive guidance from the current CCS varsity coach with 30+ years of experience coaching middle school/high school level soccer.

On the Trail

Can You Hack It?
Outdoor Survival Camp

August 15 - 19

8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Ages 10 - 14

Can You Hack It? Outdoor adventurers will go on full day field trips to a ropes course and Camelback Adventure Park. They will also experience indoor rock climbing and backpacking on the Appalachian Trail. Campers will learn additional survival skills including building a fire, cooking their own food, pitching a tent, purifying water, reading maps, and tying knots. Campers will create and take home a fully functional, professional survival kit that they can use on their next outdoor adventure. Our camp instructor is an avid outdoorsman and Eagle scout.

Camera

A New View Photography Camp

August 8 - 12

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Ages 11 - 14

Future photographers will utilize both cell phone cameras and DLSR cameras (DSLR cameras will be provided). Campers will learn about lighting and exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and how to combine them all to take beautiful photos. They will receive detailed editing instruction in Adobe Lightroom and possibly Photoshop.

Campers will experience several field trips (including an all-day excursion to Valley Forge Park and other shorter trips to closer localities such as Hickory Park and downtown Pottstown) in order to learn to shoot at different scenes (nature, architecture, wildlife, and people) and under lighting and environmental conditions. The week will culminate by campers selecting favorite photos and creating a hard-bound, fully-colorized photo book portfolio showcasing their masterpieces from the week.

Cooking Lesson

Culinary Design Adventure

August 15 - 19

Ages 10 - 14

Budding chefs will llearn all about nutrition, food science, spicing agents, kitchen safety, knife skills, plating, and more! Chefs will prepare one to two types of food daily (including desserts, meats, veggies, omelets, mystery box challenges, and more). Campers will gain hands-on experience with all types of kitchen appliances and gadgets. They will budget, purchase, and prepare an entire meal in our mystery judge team competition. Campers will also experience a field trip excursion to a local grocery store to purchase ingredients for the competition. All campers will receive a personalized embroidered apron as well as a notebook filled with culinary information.

-Cancel 60-90 days before the start of camp--receive your payment back minus a $50 processing fee

-Cancel 30-60 days before the start of camp--receive your payment back minus a $75 processing fee

-Cancel 15-30 days before the start of camp--receive a 50% refund

-Cancel 0-14 days prior to camp--no refund can be given
