High School

Our Immersion Courses are designed to help high school students grow in their unique interests. Courses are available for a variety of ages, and our Immersion Courses are geared towards high school students. Most Courses are 5 days long either for the morning, afternoon, or all day. Each Course is led by experienced and qualified leaders who are part of our school community.

Breakthrough Basketball --

Premier League

June 14 - 18

Ages 15 - 18

Basketball players will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level. Players will be grouped by age and ability to provide a challenging environment for each player. They will experience daily 5-on-5 game play to improve court awareness, game flow, and vision. Students will receive a t-shirt, water bottle and towel. Basketball coaches are current and former coaches with experience coaching at the High School, NCAA Collegiate, and National Team levels.

The Path Less Traveled --

A Cycling Adventure

June 21 - 25

(Plus overnights. Getting back at 10:00 PM on Friday)

Ages 13 - 16

Cyclers will get their feet wet with a test run of the 38 mile Perkiomen Trail and will then learn how to prepare for an overnight biking adventure. Cyclers will then participate in a three-day, two-night 150 mile bike adventure on the GAP trail.The toepath joins abandoned rail lines from Pittsburgh, PA to Cumberland, MD, through tunnels and across impressive viaducts. Along the trail, we will be passing through Ohiopyle State Park. We will also be crossing the Salisbury Viaduct, passing through the Big Savage Tunnel and Helmstetters Curve. Students will eat breakfast at Kelly O's Diner, featured on the show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. They will also hone their bike repair skills and test their endurance and perseverance. All students will receive an official outdoorsman keepsake book.

A bicycle is required for participation in this camp. Campers may bring their own bike or rent one from CCS for an additional $150 (total camp price is $550 if bike rental is needed).

Coventry Conquest Fitness Boot Camp

June 28 - June 30

Ages 13 - 17

Fitness warriors will learn basic exercises that benefit cardio, core, and overall strength using just body weight (ie, no equipment necessary). Students will also participate in HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts and become well-prepared for their individual sports seasons. Students will develop leadership skills through co-leading group workouts, counting in cadence, and pushing themselves beyond what they believe their limits to be. All campers will receive a synthetic non-cotton tee-shirt and workout gloves (for outdoor workout hand safety).

Part 1 of Drama Camp. Sign up for just one or both!

Budding prop-makers will explore the fun and exciting world of prop making (all props are theirs to keep!) Students will experience expanding foam molding, fake blood adventures, foam puppet making, and the creation of photo-worthy food; students will explore the fine art of the Foley artist. Students will also learn how to make props come to life with sound effects from the most unusual places! All students will receive a sketch book kit, all of their creations, and directions on how to make them.

Have you ever wondered how people look so good in movies? Flawless skin or ghastly scales--it's all thanks to the skills of a makeup artist! Young makeup artists will learn basic makeup and contouring skills and will expand to more complex creations including special effects and scar work. Students will complete creations with wigs/hair styles and all campers will take home a theatrical makeup kit and sketch book set.

Students will participate in lessons and strategy sessions tailored to their specific grade levels and individual strengths and challenges. They will also receive guidance on how to register for tests and will understand how to continue test preparation throughout the summer. Parents are communicated with daily about their student’s progress.  Our course instructor has 15+ years of standardized test prep coaching. All students will receive a course book and notebook of materials.

College Applications Seminar

Rising 11th and12th Graders

Aspiring college-bound students will start their common application. Students will create their resume, write their college application essay, and learn how to send SAT/ACT scores to colleges. Students will learn to navigate Naviance and Collegeboard during the application process. A panel of local admissions counselors from prestigious colleges in the area will present about appropriate topics and inside secrets when writing the essay section of the application. With the global pandemic threatening our normalcy, colleges are changing their admissions requirements including becoming test optional. This means the essay section will carry more weight than prior years as admissions counselors determine if your student is the right fit for their institution. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to start their applications and essays with professionals to assist throughout the entire process! This course is run by the CCS College and Career Counselor with 10+ years of experience in public and private schools.

Lack the time to visit colleges with your student? Not sure what questions to ask? Join CCS’s college and career counselor as we visit 5 to ten local colleges, tour the campuses, and meet with admissions counselors. College possibilities include: Swarthmore, Lehigh, Villanova, St. Joseph's, Drexel, Alvernia, Albright, Haverford, Cabrini, and Gwynedd Mercy. As colleges and universities open up for in person tours, we will finalize the list of schools and dates. Parents are invited but are not required to attend. All students will receive a high-quality portfolio in which to take notes.

Please note that the college list is subject to change due to Covid-19 restrictions. The full day experience may also switch to a half day experience based on which colleges are open for visitors. Partial refunds will be issued in the event that the full day experience changes to a half day.

Pattern Drafting Course --

Rulers, Slopers, and Blocks Oh My!

August 2 - 6

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Ages 14 - 18

Fashion drafters will experience the art of drafting (making a paper pattern to create a garment). They will begin by making a basic pattern block to fit their body. Then they will learn how to measure themselves correctly, how to use a clear ruler to mark out points on a plane, and how to connect those points to create the template for the pieces in the garment. Students will discover how to alter the basic block made to create any one-of-a-kind garment imaginable!

Students will receive instruction from a Historical and Theatrical Costumer with 15+ years of experience and Patternmaker with 20+ years of experience.

A sewing machine is required for participation in this course. Students may bring their own sewing machine or rent one from CCS for an additional $60.00 (total camp price is $385 if a sewing machine rental is needed). 

Students who register for both Pattern Drafting and Project Fashion receive a $25 discount. Please choose the combined and discounted option at checkout. Students who register for both Pattern Drafting and Project Fashion will only need to pay on $60 fee if a sewing machine rental is needed.

Project Fashion is a great course to participate in after the Pattern Drafting Course! Project Fashion builds upon skills learned in Pattern Drafting. However, it is not necessary to take both together.

Project Fashion- Make it Work

August 9 - 13

Ages 14 - 18

Fashion designers will design, draft, construct, and walk the runway in their own complete garment! Students will also go on two separate trips to purchase needed supplies, including a trip to the famous Moods Fabrics and M&J Trimmings in NYC. Students will then experience a capstone presentation event where they can walk the runway in their garment with professionally done hair and makeup. Students will receive instruction from a Historical and Theatrical Costumer with 15+ years of experience and Patternmaker with 20+ years of experience.

Students who register for Project Fashion must have basic machine sewing skills to participate.

A sewing machine is required for participation in this course. Students may bring their own sewing machine or rent one from CCS for an additional $60.00 (total camp price is $410 if a sewing machine rental is needed). 

Students who register for both Pattern Drafting and Project Fashion receive a $25 discount. Please choose the combined and discounted option at checkout. Students who register for both Pattern Drafting and Project Fashion will only need to pay on $60 fee if a sewing machine rental is needed.

Premier League

Ages 15 - 18

Soccer players will have the opportunity to prepare and get in shape for pre-season soccer. They will refine all fundamental and technical skills while getting plenty of touches on the ball. Students will improve their technical ability no matter what their age or skill level, and they will be grouped by age and ability so that they are properly challenged. All students will receive guidance from the current CCS varsity coach with 30+ years of experience coaching middle school/high school level soccer. Students will receive a t-shirt if registered by July 26th.

You Be The Judge- Mock Trial

August 16 - 20

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Ages 14 - 18

Law lovers will play the roles of attorneys, witnesses, and even court officers in a mock trial that will help bring the law alive for students. Students will learn the skills of public speaking, teamwork, research, and collaboration. They will also be exposed to and understand criminal and civil concepts as well as civic engagement concepts.

All campers will receive a gavel and block set.
