Many of the clubs below do not have dates set yet. This is because we have flexibility on when we run the club. We will run the club based on which students express interest and what their respective schedules look like. Please review the club options and complete the interest form at the bottom of this page!
Academic Competition Team - Leader TBD - 9th - 12th grades - December - February - $200 / Student
Compete in the Academic Showdown League against other local public and private high schools in academic quiz bowls. Participate in the Montgomery County Academic Competition Team Tournament, with a chance to move on to the state and national tournaments.
Ambassadors Club - Leader TBD - 7th - 12th grades - Year Long - $25 / Student
An opportunity for students who are interested in helping new prospective students during the school year. Assist in student visits and open houses.Develop your interpersonal and presentation skills while sharing what you love about Coventry Christian Schools!
Book Club - Leader TBD - 9th - 12th Grades - December - February - $70 / Student
Read great books, discuss and review, and enjoy refreshments in a relaxed setting with your CCS peers.
Breakfast Club - 6th - 12th grades - Priscilla Miro - $50 / student
Learn to make various breakfast foods, then enjoy the fruits of your labor before school starts!
Chess Club - Leader TBD - 6th - 12th grades - $35 / student
Learn or develop your chess skills to compete against other students. This club will culminate with an interscholastic chess tournament(s) against other schools!
Film Club - Leader TBD - 6th - 12th grades - March - May - $75 / student
Explore different areas of video and create a short film to be shown at a Coventry Christian Film Festival.
International Club - Laurie Shirey - 8th - 12th grades - $70 / student
A way for international and american students to intermingle and learn about each other's culture while building community through food.
Outdoors Club - Danny Conicelli - 6th - 12th grades - $60 / student
Find different ways to enjoy nature and the great outdoors through hiking, biking, and other activities.
Photography Club - Joe Lohr - 9th - 12th grades - $100 / student
For those hoping to learn more about photography and taking pictures. Enjoy this opportunity to take photos and work to ensure every memory at CCS this year is captured.
Robotics Club - Leader TBD - 7th - 12th grades - October - April - $275 / student
Learn robotics design, construction and coding. Students will work together weekly to design, plan, and construct their robot. The club will culminate with the team entering regional robotics competitions through the nationally recognized FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) Robotics Program.
SAT Prep - Josiah Shoemaker - 10th - 11th grades - January - February - $80 / student
An SAT Prep course for Sophomores and Juniors. Students will spend time preparing for the math and writing portions of the SAT.
Science Olympiad - Leader TBD - 6th - 12th grades - Yearlong - $125 / student
The team will choose from 23 different events across multiple science disciplines including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Students will have an opportunity to compete at a local or state level.
Sports Club - Susan Pritt - 6th - 8th grades - $60 / student
Step outside to play different, unique sports such as nine square and ultimate frisbee.
Youth & Government - Leader TBD - 9th - 8th grades - $400 / student
Through the Pennsylvania YMCA Student Government, increase political awareness while learning the meaning of social action through actual experience in all aspects of government. This club culminates with a 3-day, 2-night youth government weekend in Harrisburg where Y&G teams from across the state will convene a mock government and take over the PA State Capitol Building! Club fee includes the cost of this weekend including hotel and meals.
