Auction
● Gross $53,184
● Still need to pay some food/vendors
● 171 tickets sold, 145 attended
● Raised $10,000 in special gift at the end of the auction
● Feedback
○ Most enjoyed being able to move around to munch and socialize instead of the sit down meal.
○ Allowed new families to meet and socialize
○ Food signs out with food descriptions
○ Meet with volunteer students in advance
○ Advertise estimated timeline in advance
○ Rent pole and drape and uplighting to make the gym feel more formal ○ Upgrade food selection
○ High top tables around the outside with chairs in the middle
Much thanks to the auction committee and who helped with this event!
5K Update
● 134 runner for 5k/1 mile
● 40-50 ran obstacle course
○ Discussion about price (lower price or $10 for first run and less for second run)
○ Start the obstacle course earlier
● Net about $3,000 (numbers are being finalized)
● Ideas for next year
○ Next year look for sponsors earlier
○ Discuss how to expand the event to be larger
○ Better coordination with pancake breakfast
○ Should we have a mid-race water station?
○ More age brackets at lower age groups
○ Have a person on call in case of emergencies
○ Have the bus follow to pick up stragglers and race guides
○ Consider altering the course

May PTO meeting/Pizza/Ice Cream social and Board Nominations
● Tuesday, May 4th
● Break up nominations and budget into 2 meetings
● May - brainstorming ideas for budget and nominations
○ Ice cream truck discussed
■ Kona Ice
○ Advertise it as a larger community event
○ Babysitting should be offered (gym)
○ 45 minutes social time then kids to gym and parents to chapel
○ Create a physical flyer to send home to advertise
● Create a Google form for RSVP and to collect budget ideas
● Have drop boxes at the event to solicit volunteers and budget ideas
Budget
● Chris Blasko gave a summary
● Good financial position - Have $33,000
● Have $10,000 cash for operating
● Obstacle course and 5K money will go toward gym floor
● Committed to $30,000 toward gym floor over 2 years
● $1,500 each to sports and performing arts
Performing Arts
● Wizard of Oz scheduled for May
● CCS/PTO/Chesmont want to build an AV booth in back corner of chapel ○ Want to reallocate $1,500 toward the building of the booth
■ VOTE to reallocate funds: Karlene Novotny, Barb Newell, Tyler Newell, Elizabeth Howe all approve
Sports Boosters
● May 17th HS sports banquet
● May 10th MS sports banquet
Clothing Sale
● Consider having a $1 end of year clothing sale in conjunction with May meeting
SLACK/Emails
● Tyler created a volunteer sign up email list
Teacher Appreciation Week
● Ideas
○ Cart to go room to room
○ Chick-Fil-A for lunch
■ Gena Oliver will coordinate ordering and will communicate volunteer needs
Ideas to consider:
Consider personal invitations to get PTO involvement.
Have a class “parent” who communicates between PTO and class.
